Medicion de la señal de los operadores de telefonía en Colombia

OpenSignalMaps es una herramienta diseñada para identificar la calidad e intensidad de la señal que está recibiendo un dispositivo móvil. La aplicación fue creada para Android y sus resultados se basan en la información que transmiten los dispositivos que la tienen instalada, de modo que los datos arrojados corresponden a información en tiempo real.
El resultado del rastreo de señal es un mapa de Google que indica con códigos de color qué tan fuerte o débil es la señal recibida en cierto punto de la ciudad o las zonas rurales. Lo más interesante de esta aplicación es que los operadores de telefonía móvil no pueden especular con el nivel de recepción ya que cualquier usuario puede consultar el mapa y ver si realmente está entrando la señal de 2G, 3G y 4G.
Para el caso de Bogotá, según OpenSignalMaps, Comcel -ahora Claro- es el operador con mejor conexión con una confiabilidad de 100%, seguido por Movistar con el 93% y de Tigo con el 88%. Asimismo, podemos ver que en la ciudad existen 100 torres repetidoras.
